you just use the Mr2 tranny, the bell housing mounts up

it all depends on your fuel. one guy made 520whp on stock bottom end with the proper fuel management. mr2 guys that know better, only build their motors because they blew them up and had no choice.

It really depends on engine management. Timing is crucial, too.

i am sure plenty of 4 bangers have, and by the way...its not all about the quarter....driving down to you grandmothers on a weekend and spending half as much in gas is a big plus, and still being able to run 12's or lower in the quarter, thats pretty good, lets see a v8 do that. what about weight, there is a civic, with 151hp and 130ft/lb running 12's, i think it was 12.5(Sport Compact Car April 2003, same issues as engine swap), efficiency, its not all about brute strength killer.

all you big block guys need to stop being so insecure with your masculinity and realize there are other ways to get what you want then just sheer power. sure when it comes to putting out the most hp out of an engine, when money isn't a factor of course a v8 will be better, just like a v10 will be better than that, and hell a W16 is even better, i mean thats putting out 1101 hp, but it only cost a million dollars for the car, i mean, seriously now, THINK!

and don't tell me you can get your v8 faster than a 4 banger for cheaper...yes at certain point, but we already went over it, GAS MONEY. ok i am done.

All you rookies and your baby V6 MR2s.

http://www.racingstrong.com/toystar/index.asp

So 300+ pounds feet of torque in a 1900 pound chassis.

Hmmm. I wonder who will have the fastest MR2 in Va?

the northstar swap is awesome. i would have never thought it would fit in an mk1. what about a turbo northstar in an mk2? anybody try a v8 in an mr2 sw20 or sw21 yet?
