RSX DASH IN EG HATCH
Great explination. So you've tried it countless times and you're sure it can't be done?
Grease, shit looks amazing as usual.
My point it it will not fit like anyting from the factory as they are not on nearly the same chassis. to get it to look oem you will have to do tons of work and it still may not be right. OEM fitment is a huge thing in my book so when people start to hack and distroy shit that was fine already it pisses me off. granted modifying is the name of the game, you can still change things without having it look terrible.
Teg dash swaps are a lot better fitting as they share the same firewall design as eh hatches.
To the OP, make a custom dash and stun us all. I'll give you mad props for doing it, especially if it turns out clean

However.. while the firewall design may be similar, that's pretty much where it stops. The integra dash didn't even come close to fitting when I put it in. I had read posts on honda-tech where people said it would just "go right in" Well they must have a much different idea of what "fits" than I do. It took two weeks, two custom door panels, fiberglass work, $300+ at an upholstery shop and one busted windshield to get my dash to fit in a way I was satisfied with.
I agree with you about not doing something to the car that looks terrible just so you can say it was a "mod." I'd like to think mine looks pretty factory, hell Nagger came over the other day and didn't even notice it was an Integra dash. Infact most people don't until I point it out, and to me thats how it should be.
P.S. Props to Jarrod for coming over and helping me get the dash in, and for helping me bust that windshield.

i've seen it done and it looked nice. i'm really into doing things that nobody can do. boys out there are jealous cause they can't do things so they put stuff down all the time. honestly, i saw it done on k20a.org . i've got three dashes and want to try it at least once.
my next project is to do a oem rsx front end on a hatch with a k20 swap. for those of you who are just broke or chicken shit to try something....anything is possible if you have the time, money and resources. i believe in being unique. anybody can imitate another, real winners stand on top by themselves.
