so i bought a car with an SR already in it to build and i was going to switch out the clutch and when i finally get all the bolts out the tunnel is too small to back the input shaft out so i can drop the tranny. what should i do ? i need to get that thing out

im not playin, this shit is wack, i got an idea from another site but i dont have anymore jacks

 

i can get you jacks... if you can meet me.

 

im gonna try something real quick, im gonna chest press the tranny while we move the jack to the oil pan to try and tilt the motor, do it the manly way, ill let you know what happens

 

Have you tried losening a motor mount and jacking up the motor to tilt the assembly downwards?

 

just disconnect the drive shaft

 

I would hope he'd have disconnected the driveshaft first off.
