newbie bike crash, leg cut off
LOL, I love how a lot of you fuckers just jump right on that high horse. Like none of you have EVER done anything stupid on a bike.
Yeah this guy made a poor decision, but if you think he DESERVED to lose a limb over it... well lets just hope you NEVER have a lapse in judgement ever, lest you be ridiculed after losing a leg.

tragic, he never realy said how his leg got ripped out, I guess form slidign. Even leathers on he prolly would of still had a really bad leg. Some crashes just F you up, theres a vid on you tube of a guy hitting a guard rail, leg taken off.
To me, riding a motorcycle requires 3 things.
The balls to actually ride a bike with other cars/trucks.
The skill to properly ride a bike and handle it.
The most important one is maturity.
It looks like the person in the story only had the first one down. Yes, there are times I had just the first 2 down and I have been lucky. I have done some stupid things on my streetbike. I also have 15 years of riding experience too but that only changes a couple things. It never changes huge stupid mistakes though. The biggest thing that will save you is the last one.
In retrospect, some of the things I have done were stupid. Let's see, driving from richmond to fredericksburg in 15 minutes at 3 am with friends(you guess how fast we were going), lane splitting at 100 mph, racing, etc.
I don't think the person deserved to lose his leg, but he has learned his lesson .
Yes he did.. He mentioned that his leg was amputated because of the missing nerve, essentially. It wasn't "ripped off" -- they amputated after his other surgeries. My friend went for like a year before they ended up having to amputate his leg because it was making him deathly ill.
personally i've never heard anyone EVER say headshake, though

he musta been a total noob.
I may get strange looks from people when I'm wearing my 1 piece on the street, but atleast I know if I go down I have a good chance of getting right back up with just a bruise or two. Gear, gear, gear!!!
