You still haven't told us what bodystyle you got.....

 

the gt40 cast heads are supose to be what was found on the cobras, the p heads have a different exhaust port design and is why they require a different header than the standard 5.0 heads.

Not true... just takes more work... it seems that if you build the motor from scratch you can make plenty of power, but the stock ford shortblocks aren't setup for high compression like an LSX. Stock they're 9.0:1 vs. 10.5:1 like my Z06.

A 331 stroker w/ the right heads/cam will make 450rwhp NA. A max effort 346 LSX will make a little over 500 rwhp.

Any advantages to carb? Any advantages to switching over from FI back to carb? Carb looks a bunch better than the FI manifolds for the ford.
