Hey Mustang Fags... tell me how to get 300+ rwhp out of a 5.0 NA.
Looking at Trickflow's H/C/I package for 360hp, but I'm sure a custom cam would do better... Who's still turning out good packages for 5.0s?
Also saw Edlebrock has some good stuff... seem to have a better racing manifold w/ shorter runners.
Oh... how high can a 5.0 safely rev? It's only a 2-bolt main so I don't think I'd want to wind it out too far... is 6500 rpm safe? Or should it be kept at 6000?
Just curous... might be a 5.0 in my future needing more power. Having a hard time finding answers on the mustang forums.

^ I have been speaking w/ him allready... but he's busy at SEMA right now. I'll most likely go w/ whatever he advises if I go this route.
Been doing some research on my own to better educate myself about 5.slows. I'm spoiled by LSX power... Fords don't make anything close NA.

When did you get a mustang? foxbody or sn95? A cobra intake, GT40 heads and a nice cam should work great, or use one of the pre-packged items from places like trickflow or edlebrock.(sp)
Edit: I have seen 5.0's reved to 6500 with no problems just make sure you get the correct cam to make power in that rpm range, I'm not as good with the 5.0's as i am with the modulars but I know my NPI falls flat on its face around 5100

I'm looking at the TFS package good to 6500 rpms... most of the more extreme packages are for higher rpm drag applications.

Are you trying to keep A/C and PS?
I put down 287/316 with no a/c, no p/s, electric water pump and fan, GT-40s, stock ported intake, e-cam and an aluminum DS..
