I am so glad sometimes that i drive a Tacoma because every time I hit one the huge bumps on the highway I think about what might happen if I was driving something a little lower.

 

takes 10-11 weeks, you have to call the city, the city has to call you back, then they send an inspector

 

i ran over a fallen over lamp post on I495 once (along with about 20 other people) and the State Trooper that came on site told us specifically that the state wasn't going to pay us shit.

that sucked.

 

I hit a pot hole in a construction area on woodland rd in hpt, scrathed myy rim up and gave me a flat. I called the city and they gave me a # to some kinda insurance joint for the city. they had me get it fixed and sent them the bill they paid for it....

 

But look who told you that.... I don't mean to sound like an asshole, but they always seem to have a chip on their shoulder

 

friend of mine was on the highway and they were doing paving. well right where the old road met the new road was a bump where they were going to continue. it was a pretty bad one too. he hit it and bent his 2 front wheels, he contacted someone in VDOT and they sent him a check for the cost of the wheels w/o even seeing the damage. although this was like 5 yrs ago, not sure how they handle it now. but, explore this route, keep reciepts and you never know, they could replace your parts or at least pay you back for the damage

 

they gave me the run around so i just spent the 25 bux on a ball join t and the 55 on the axle and went on my way had it cost more i woulda fought but wasnt worht my time bc i had to have my car fixed

 

Fight for them to pay for what it cost you to fix.

 

Thats not bad to fix it though. Terminal is filled with pot holes same with Hampton. I found the center lanes to be the best bet for a safe ride.

But we all know 64/264 is hell driving with a stiff suspension.

 

Amended I had never seen roads this bad before I moved here. I drove here from Seattle and saw 3000mi of road from there to here and couldn't believe how bad they are done here.

I wish they would have not made those stupid Hurricane things and instead invested that money to start widening 64 between Richmond and NN, because 2 lanes is a joke. They also need to REPAVE the hell out of it.
