Default 90 civic hatch engine swap
friend needs to know if the stock 1990 civic dx transmission will work with a 91 integra LS motor?

no , d series and b series trannys are not interchangeable. only teg he can get a tranny from is the 88-89 ( not sure the year is right , but its close ) that has the d16 zc motor.

i think u gotta find a b series tranny for that motor and if its a 1990 hatch then u gotta get a cable tranny

yup, you'll need a cable b-series tranny. If you want good cruising gears, get an Ls trans, if you want a lil shorter gear ratio, go w/ the civic si trans. If you got some extra $$$ go for a j spec trans w/ an LSD
