I just read a rant about the new laws in the VA Pilot. And you know what. I don't even care about these laws anymore. The more I look at them, the more I realized, that I haven't been charged with any of these laws in the past 6 years nor do I plan on it.

I have one ticket I got 3 years ago for "Failure to yield the right of way"

Thats it. So I say these civil penalties should stay.

Exactly. Now you know why I was laughing at all these fuckers bitching about it.

If you're doing 85 in a 55 and get charged with reckless along with the extra fine, good. You're fucking stupid for doing it and the extra cash will probably pale compared to the possibility of jail time

I hear that, I would stoopid amounts of money to be not put in jail. But then again, I know I won't be going to jail because of anything related to driving-that is unless i get in trouble for talking about way to steal a vehicle in caleb's thread.

I like how everyone in here is all for these laws and one day you might be on the high way and forget to signal and now your labeled a criminal... Last time I thought a criminal was someone who robbed, stole, or killed someone. My bad, I for one have court on the 30th of Sept for reckless driving. I was heading back from Baltimore at 0230 in the morning about an hour north of Richmond in Hanover County and got tagged for going 91 in 65 and was only me and another person on the highway. I'll take it, and sucks because I'm not even a resident of this state but since I have VA plates and Drivers License I'm liable to pay this states fine. Fine thats whatever, but I think it politically bias IMO why can't everyone who gets pulled over in this state pay a normal fee. So all these guys in the military around here (which I am one of those guys) get tagged for reckless with out of state plates and license and they have to just pay a normal fee? Well looks like I'm getting my Texas Drivers License back. My littel 2 Cents

amen! i am with you. if you make one mistake you are now a criminal and are going to get screwed. I saw a vdot sign on the highway a while back that said "speed kills". total bullsh@t. dumb ass drivers kill. speed limits are just hidden taxes.
