NEWSFLASH: domestic gets warned about illegal exhaust!
I was on my way to MIR for Imports vs Domestics and I saw a cop in the median and looked down and I was doing 15 over and I instantly started to slow down and pull over onto the shoulder. The cop pulls up behind me after I stop and walks up to me and starts talking down to me like I am some runaway slave or something. I thought to myself "I pulled over before you turned on your lights and I am being polite as shit and owning up to my mistake and this jerk off is still being an idiot"
So the court day comes. I show up in my Alphas looking sexy and all and I sit in the court room through 10+ cases of people making up stupid excuses and some people getting away with the shit that they have done. I walk up when it was my turn, stand at a modified parade rest and own up to my mistake in a polite manner. The judge asks me about the military and deployments and then out of no where he was like "ok I find you guilty for blah blah blah and you can go pay your fine of "x" amount over there" I was like you have got to be kidding me.

They don't hate the military around here. It's just that, considering the amount of military people doing stupid shit, it would be pretty daft for them to be lenient on you just because you're in the military.
ahh...everytime I went in uniform, i got the book thrown at me and lectured. in a suit, i was treated as a person. maby its just va-beach
I have seen them be lenient on alcohol charges for the military more than once. They required them to go through the treatment programs and stay out of trouble. Upon compliance the charges would be dropped.
I think that might be because the military will do more to them than the local court system will. Alcohol-related incidents can be pretty harshly punished.
I think race is a factor. I was at a GREEN light with girl in the car and an officer yelled "excuse me" out of his window, I looked over and said, "yes, sir, can I help you?" "May I ask you a question?" "sure" " is that YOUR car?" "yes sir, it is" "well in that case, may I inquire as to why you have no front plate?" " Its a separate bracket you have to special order from the dealership" "Oh really..." "Uh, yes sir it is." "Do you have the front plate with you? " "Yes sir, its in the back". (at this point traffic is angry behind us at a GREEN light) . " Well you need to have a front plate" "I understand sir" " You better get that bracket soon" " Of course, sir...."
WTF ever. I can count on my HAND how many vettes in this area have a front plate. Id rather pay the ticket that fark up the lines on the vette.

I also don't know how the military record would play into clearance issues as opposed to civilian records. I thought that might have a factor in it since they were dropping the charges later.
I thought that probably played a factor in it because they did require them to go through the military treatment programs.
