3. Get a Type S.
There is a lot involved in making a base model make the same power as a stock Type S. After putting all that money into the Base model he could have made the Type S a beast.

Also, one big difference between the base and the type-s is "upgradeability". If you plan on doing any fancy stuff, get the type-s, if you want a REALLY nice daily driver with a comfortable ride and enough power to pass on the highway without your eyes mashing into your brain, the base model will suit you just fine.
