Going for it.... 15,000 mile oil change interval.
The valley cover is simple... remove the manifold and take it out. The oil seperator for the PCV is on the underside and in some cases w/ the '01 the seal goes bad and lets excessive oil through the PCV system.
They updated the design in '02+... as part of my re-ring they replaced that first and oil consumption was cut almost in 1/2, but I then proceeded w/ the re-ring.
Also... start using mobil 0w40 or Amsoil 5w40.

^ And get a catch can for the PCV system... not some cheap ebay can, but go get on from a place like elite engineering.

I think my engine's a little too old to be runnin for 15k without a change. i was puttin a quart in the 240 about once every two weeks, because of a major leak, so i went about a year and a half without changing it. Now i change every 4k since I fixed the oil leak.
