Turbo Question.
I'm not trying to slam you personally its just that turboing a VR6 is not the simplest thing in the world, let alone an automatic VR6. do yourself a favor and do a lot of reading on the vortex (archives and current topics) and you will someday be prepared to properly eat a piston/tranny
haha, I always seem to just jump into things rather then looking threw them, thanks for the feedback, looks like i know where Im going to be spending my time (Vortex Archives) for the next few weeks.
. The turbo isn't vehicle specific, neither are the injectors, neither are the bov and wastegate, couplers, intercooler, etc. If you go through and piece together a nice kit that has all the right parts for making good power it may be more than a simple kit, but at the same time should be a much more quality setup. Also remember most kits dont come with some good engine managment. That also ends up being real expensive in some cases, but is worth it to save your motor.
Its cool that you wanna learn and do it yourself man! Props to you!
Just make sure you know what you are doing... Worst thing to see is people mess stuff up and then not like cars anymore... Happens a lot around KAs..
This is another reason why I think a weekly car meet would be great.. Wouldn't it be nice to ask people in person about stuff...??

Here is a site that will help out if you decide to build your own kit: Home Made Turbo. HMT has pretty much all you need to know; make sure you search before posting simple questions, because many of the board members are flame happy.
As far as a tutorial on how to pick out a turbocharger for your application, I found this page to be extremely helpful: Garrett Turbo Selection. The formulas on this page are somewhat less complex than other formulas found on the net. Also, I would recommend using Microsoft Excel to perform your calculations so you can make changes to your desired PSI, Horsepower, and redline without re-calculating everything. Also, you can price parts and keep a running tally on how much your budget project will cost.

Thumbs up, good looking out
read read and read all about what people with VR6s have done and learn from the people that have alreday ventured down this exact road. There are some VR6 kits, there are some companies that sell the pieces to the kits and then there are people with experiances that you can learn from. I've know/known a number of people that have turboed VR6s and alls I can say that you better know what you are getting into before hand.
