Default Stupid question, perhaps some help?

Anyways, I am learning to work on cars and want to install a cold air intake or short ram into my 92 civic hatchback. What should I do with the breathing tube/vacuum tube?

Remove the whole stock assembly, minuses the lines that are hooked up near the top of the stock air tube. their should be 3 small rubber hoses running to your stock air box 2 of them youll plug into the nipples on your new air intake the third just cap off by sticking a small screw in the open end of the hose. Now as to which hose it is you plug off, I could only tell you if I went out to my car and looked where it ran to, and im too lazy to do that.

you should get instructions with the intake kit. it will tell you where all the hoses connect, at least mine did.

On a 92 civic theres just 1 hose that goes from the valve cover to the intake tube. You can either:
1: Run the hose from the valve cover to the intake
or
2: Remove the hose completely and use a air breather on the valve cover.
