Default WTB: Suomy or Arai Helmet (maybe others)

Anyone selling a Good helmet? I have a KBC that I bought just because it was cheap and DOT/Snell approved, now I am looking for something nicer. My hat size is 7 1/4 so I would say on average I need a large helmet. Let me know what you have.

I'd highly recommend arai. I'm not sure whats going on with Suomy but two of their biggest racers just dropped them, and they quit sponsoring Cornerspeed Racing school with no warning, so I'd be kind of weary of where the company's future is headed, not that really matters now. Arai has alot of last years helmets on clearance, I picked up a 2004 Corsair Hayden replica for $300, retails for like 800 or some shit, I don't think you'll find them quite that cheap since shops will have their own mark up, but I think you could find a brand new last year arai for under 400... I'll see what they have left in larges

absolutely nothing left in an arai large, some pretty good deals on agv model xr-2's, v-flyer, daystar, demon... i'd say you should go try one on first though, arais fit a little different and you might find your a medium or xl, in which case i might have access to some more stuff, but lots of shops could get those arais at the closeout price so i'd imagine theres alot of good deals on arais still floating around if you look

I had an Arai quantum Aaron Slight about 9 years ago for a couple years and it was really a nice helmet, I wear a large in Arai assuming they are still made the same. Like you said, a lot of the left overs are available cheap, I actually found like 5 of the higher line Arais on ebay for about $300-$350 NEW. I just figured I would see if someone maybe has something left from when they sold a bike.

ah gotcha... well one thing if you do get a corsair, i understand where they get the -air from because this helmet really flows some air, which is great but ear plugs are a must for me, very loud
