Varex muffler combines both the design technology of the stock muffler and the performance muffler into one single compact unit. A sophisticated butterfly valve mechanism is implemented to redirect the exhaust gas flow and vary between the two. For higher sound level, the exhaust flows are directed through the opening path and produces maximum power with a robust sound level (or the “sports car note”) and near-zero resistance. For lower sound level, the exhaust flows are directed through the chambered path (similar design with the stock muffler), and produces minimum sound level that gives you the best in-car comfort. Also, you are able to control the angle of the valve which can be adjusted to stop at any point between the sports mode and the silence mode. This gives you further freedom to set the optimal sound level according to your preference.

Excellent Silence Effect: What makes the VAREX surpass other conventional Exhaust Control Valve(ECV) is that VAREX integrates the valve inside the muffler and actually work as a switch between the stock muffler and performance muffler. In Conventional ECV, it aims to block the exhaust gas flow in order to reduce sound volume. However, it can not fully block all gas flow because it still allows gases to escape around the butterfly valve when closed and therefore only partially blocks the exhaust gas flow inside the main exhaust tube. The sound wave can still push through the gap of the closed ECV (please remember that they cannot be completely closed, because the exhaust gases have no other exits and to fully close it is like completely blocking the exhaust tube). Therefore, the sound dampening effect of the conventional ECV design is significantly limited. With VAREX muffler, however, it can achieve near stock sound level not by blocking in the conventional way, but by completely redirecting the exhaust gas flow into the reflective chambered section, thus, changes the sound level back to near-stock volume whilst still maintaining smooth exhaust flow.
Simple Operation: You are able to adjust the sound level through a handy remote control pad, which gives you the convenience to do this anytime you want without getting out of your car.
Easy Installation: Directly bolt-on to most existing XFORCE exhaust systems, or custom fitted to a wide range of vehicles. No complex wiring/harness is required, since power supply is sourced from the cigarette lighter socket.
Maintaining Maximum Power Output: Most importantly, VAREX muffler is precisely engineered to ensure that when the Race Mode is switched on, it functions as a complete straight-through performance muffler with minimum back pressure.
