Regardless of piston ring condition, all Honda VTEC engines all suffer from excessive crankcase pressure at high power and RPM levels. This is caused by extreme piston speed, long camshaft timing events, and a PCV system that is completely inadequate at high throttle angles and low manifold vacuum levels.

To give an example of the power level. My motor has more torque than the jdm b16 puts hp to the wheels.
It dynoed 30 hp less than a k20 tuned on kpro I believe with intake and open header. I know this because we dynoed the same day at the Dyno inc. during the poker run event.

I may just buy this guys built block and throw my head on it after I get some head work done.
If that's the case I'm going to post the high comp block for sale or trade. But I will leave the high comp motor in my car until someone wants it so I can do a compression test and show you there is nothing wrong with it.
I will update when appropriate.

I got the motor in my ef when I traded my eg for it on 01/01/08
I am going the turbo route so I am going to start with a fresh set up.
The motor has approx 15k on the bottom end, not sure about the head.
Bottom end was rebuilt with acl drag bearings, stock rods, oversized b16 pistons, bored out a little to a 1.9L bottom end was balanced and blueprinted. Head is a sir1 obd1 crower double valve springs, reatainers, black knight valves, b16 cams, SKUNK 2 CAM GEARS, FPR. Sir1 im port matched to the head. you will need a cap for the distributor. I am running a modified prelude cap because of my ignition setup. JUST FOR MY PEACE OF MIND, I ALSO PUT ON A NEW WATER PUMP, TIMING BELT AND TENSIONER WHEN I PICKED UP THE CAR.
IT DOES GET BLOW BY DURING VTEC ONLY! AGAIN IM NOT SURE THE MILAGE ON THE HEAD. I WAS GOING TO GET ALL THE SEALS DONE ON THE HEAD BUT DON'T SEE MYSELF PUTTING MONEY IN IT WHEN IM GOING ANOTHER ROUTE.

The motor is still in the car, runs pulls excellent, very strong set up. I can take you for a test drive and you can see and hear what your getting. I HAVE THE DYNO GRAPHS TO SHOW WHAT SHE PUT DOWN, GOT IT TUNED A FEW MONTHS AGO, I WANT TO SAY MAY. I have the phone number of the guy who built this so you know its legit. I don't drive the car much since I have a prius for daly driving. So it still has low miles since the rebuild.
I may be forgeting some things.
I HAVE AN EXTRA JDM TYPE R VALVE COVER THAT CAN GO WITH IT, IF THE VALVE COVER DOESN'T GET SOLD
A FEW PICS TO GET THE THREAD STARTED.




LOLOLOL my boy had $800 tied up in that motor, all factory parts (besides oversized pistons), thru a "shop discount", HOW DO YOU WANT 3k?... just a fyi

hope you're using lube on whoever buys it!!
