that is when you turn on the machine and instead of the power light being green its red and the xbox will not work microsoft had recalled a crapload of them

 

i have one that doesnt have a red light of death. for some reason everything works on it but it wont read xbox games as games but a tiny part of the time. it thinks theyre dvd's. pm me if interested.

 

microsoft takes them and fixes them for free

Every xbox that has every been made so far is still under warranty, I bought one off here about a week ago, the kid didnt tell me it was broken. It froze all the time and then just died, sent it off its already on its way back. So yeah who wouldnt wanna buy a broken one cheap when you can get it fixed for free.

I have a kit to fix them thats why I'm trying to get one. I thought you had to have a receipt or you had to be the original owner in order for Microsoft to fix it.

 

ebay has them for pretty cheap
