The fact you say you have to google it to know what it looks like and read about it, im assuming you don't have much gun/hand gun experience? I thin Bobs is offering free begginers courses, and dont hate the 9mm 
9mm federal hydra shocks do the job just fine! (i carry a .45, but i have had a 9/38/40/45) Another place is a gun show, if you want to see a SHIT ton of guns, pick them up, feel them, get a good idea of how it feels in your hand, its really worth the 7 bucks to go to a show, not to mention you will save roughly 100 bucks on most gun purchases.
