I got it earlier this year... maybe a couple of months ago. I found a dealer that still had one new in box and I had been looking for one for a while. I have owned it only a couple of months. When I got it, did the breakin at the range with 25 rounds. Decided I wanted a 3-dot like the rest of my pistols (instead of the stock bar-dot) so I sent the slide in to sig to have them but the factory trijicon sights on. Came back and I've shot 25 rounds at the range since. You can't really tell it's been used. Looks brand new and you can ask ANYONE who I've sold a firearm to that I keep my stuff in extremely good condition. My guns are always cleaned immediately when I get home from shooting and I even run a swab through the barrel with a little oil on it at the end to preserve the barrel. I just believe that guns are a great investment and I am not about to let it deteriorate because of laziness, so I won't shoot them unless I'm willing to spend the time cleaning them. Anyways, I really would just keep this one, (and I will happily do that if I don't find a buyer), but right now I could use the cash to catch up on my bills and that is the ONLY reason why I've put it up for sale.
My other sig which was an all black sig p229 with a lot of use to it, I had my buddy duracoat the frame to look similar to this one because I loved the look and I figured if I sell this one I'd still have one that has the cool look, even if it isn't factory or as good of a finish. Looks like I'm going to be in Newport News on Thursday night and staying through Saturday. If anyone in the Hampton Roads area wants to check the special edition Sig P229 out then please let me know.
