I have a 2008 12 inch kicker solobaric L7 mounted in an SPL encloser and the 2008 zx750.1 750 watt rms amp..had this playing in my durango of bout 2 months and ready to sell it..this sub and amp combined with the SPL box is LOUD as hell..price $650 and i'll give you the 4 gauge power wire and rca's for it all too..pm me if interested..need this set up gone asap got bills-N-shit!!

ttt.. just sitting in my durango waiting for a buyer, can let you hear how loud it really is if need be..i know you could get alot different set-ups for this price but will never compair to what the system does..turning heads from bass is sweet, even sweeter when its one 12 and home boy next to you has 4 12's and not this loud!

You are partly right. 4x12" (approx. surface area of subwoofer) is far more than 1x12". In a sense, its how much air is being pushed by the subwoofer. I can push more air with 4 12x12 cardboard sheets, rather than 1 12x12 sheet. Same kind of concept.
However 4 subs with 100 watts to each vs 1 sub (of the same make) with 400 watts to it would probably yeild right around the same amount of decibels...but the 4 subs you would really 'feel' more.
GL with sale, L7s are no joke, they get kind of loud.
