i run my pearl off my work sim with AT%T and it works just fine.
Another thing - if you have an AT&T or tmobile account you can get them to unlock it for free (their version)- just as long as you've been a customer for some time (tmobile is 3 months). Just say you need it unlocked for international travel
Should sell it on ebay - they go easily for 175-200 unlocked
Love mine though - great phone.
