Well, since you asked. That is the cold start injector. Why did toyota place it there? The only reason I know of is that the 3vze is such a cramped motor. There is so much shit to it and it's laid out poorly. I am sure they just decided that was the best place to stick it after throwing the rest of the motor together.

For the 3.0? Yes, Downey and Doug Thorley both make headers for the 3.0L.

umm "cootees" i dont think you ment the 5mgte its the 7mgte out of the 3rd gen supra motors. I had a 4runner with the 3.0 in it with the downey headers. Its not worth it. haha. Nothing you do to that 3.0 will make it better. But it did sound cool with the flowmasters. I would recomend just doing the 3.4 swap and then supercharge that bitch. But then again it all depends on what you need it for. If you are doing rocks id just drop in the 22re, but if mud then of course the bigger displacement V8s.

Ok, thanks for correcting me. Although the 5mgte sweap has been done to. 7mgte is probably the more popular swap of the two.

I have seen quite a few 4runners with 302's in them (ford). One guy in Gator 4x4 (florida) had a sweeet setup with a 302.

I didn't see anyone mention it and i thought there was a kit for it. I could be wrong, as i am not a Yota guy (except for the parts that work on my sammi), but i thought that guy said he bought a kit...:shrugs:

I think the 302 is a hard motor to beat for its size.

The 302 will fit without beating up the firewall. Downey and advanced adapters should both make a kit for this swap.

The 4.3L Vortec is also a common swap.
