1990 jeep cherokee
i have a 1990 jeep cherokee for sale, it runs but does not have a passing inspection, i bought it not running, and have put alot of work into it, it would crank but not fire up and wasn't throwing codes so i was in the dark, the guy that had it before me said he had already replaced the crankshaft position sensor, and thought it was the pickup in the distributor, so i replaced the whole distributor, cap, rotor, and plugs, i replaced all of the relays, oil change, and just went one sensor at a time eliminating possibilities, i ended up replacing the throttle possition sensor, map sensor, egr valve(that was bad but didn't fix the problem at hand) put a new battery in it, ended up putting a new starter in it, two tires on the front, the guy who had it before me said he put a new ignition coil, and ignition module so i didn't replace those, and after all of that work i finally put a crankshaft position sensor in it and now it starts up just fine. even though all of those other sensors wren't bad i left them in there because i figured with the age of the jeep i was better off leaving them in there. the jeep is a cherokee laredo with the 4.0 4x4 automatic. it has skid plates under it . It has about 199900 miles on it, the engine runs strong now from looking at it, it needs a new serpentine belt, the emergency brake seems like it has come disconected under the console, i know the brake pads are good but i think the brakes need to be bled. it could use a new front bumper since it was in a minor accident which just bent up the front bumper and bowed the driver fender in a lil bit, once the bumper is off i'm sure the fender will straiten right out easily. It also seems like the u-joints on the driveshafts may need replacing i'm not sure though. anyways thats about all the info i can say about this jeep if you have any questions feel free to ask, kelly blue book on this jeep is 1810 for fair condition so i'm asking 1500 which is about what i need to break even on this, I've owned a cherokee before which i four wheeled alot and thats why i got this, it would make an excelent trail rig or with a lil bit of work a decent daily driver since the interior is in good shape. The reason i'm selling is that i've decided i'd rather have a motorcycle to sink my money into than a jeep so with that said i'm also open to trade for a motorcycle (cruiser style no rice rockets) must run though, just post here or PM me or call me at 757-621-8566 if you're interested

If you sell that one, i can show you about 3 more in better shape for about 6-800$, if you decide you want another XJ. One has a long arm kit, but he wants a little more, a grand i think.
