1989 Jeep YJ CHEAP!!
SOLD!!!!!!
Name: Matt
Location: Va Beach
Year: 1989
Make: Jeep
Model: Wrangler YJ
Miles: 250k+
Color: Green (bed liner covered)
Price: First $500 takes it
I was going to build this Jeep for myself but decided to give it to my little brother and since he has not taken the best care of it.
Its in pretty bad shape. Overall the exterior isnt to bad but the interior isnt the best. It has not been covered in almost a year.
It has no doors, no top, and no mirrors. It will not even come close to passing inspection. The wipers do not work.
It has the 6 cylinder motor with a lot of power. It needs a good tune. It starts fine and idles high at first and then idles really low after warming up. It tends to stall out after reving high and then dropping below 1k RPM's.
4 wheel drive does not work.
Its got a lot of potential, just needs someone willing to put the time and effort in.

Truthfully it is worth more in scrap than it is as it sits... if you were able to get it to the point that it was inspected and the 4wd worked you'd be able to get some money out of it. Just look at it this way, the drivetrain has 250,xxx miles on it, which is a ton of miles and it needs work now and will need a lot more in the not too distant future. The only thing the person that buys this is getting really is a tub and a frame. At least that is how I look at it. Good luck with the sale.
