Default Steel or alloy wheels

So I am thinking of putting some steel wheels or eagle alloys on my blazer. It will be my daily. I dont really want to spend 500-600 on eagles when I can get a set of wagon wheels for 250. But I guess the question is what is the difference? I know the alloys will be a tad lighter but is that it?

balancing, better on alloy vs. steel. For a daily driver.
I would vote steel in most 4wd cases where getting dirty is involved.
