Hey im looking for some good places to go around the Charlottesville area. I know that theres freestate, but ive never been all the way back there. I know theres GE but im not a fan of it due to the tight fit and the tree i hit last time lol. So if anyone knows any places Plz let me know

ok but where in crozet? lol idk much in the offroad area, ive only recently got into it.

 

George Washington National Forest. The closest is Stoney Run near Sherando Lake. I believe that it is closed for the Winter. Stoney Run at Crabtree Meadow (falls). That is open all year.

I would find some buddies to go with you on these trails.

ah, yea my neighbor goes up to crabtree falls but he seems to get stuck alot... Iv got an 04 Tundra 5spd, i need my rims gone so i can get some 2 strap the 33's on and get out and play in more than a puddle. I got 33x12.5x15 but my outlaw 2's dont clear the front caliper so i need new rims. im desperate!! lol

 

He gets stuck at crabtree falls? I can't recall anything to get stuck on except for a few rocks but there is a bypass.

 

yea, hes got an 02 grand cherokee lifted 2in i think and some nice 32's. Well i was interested in places and still am, but sum1 hit and run on my truck. Tore the bed and rear drivers door to shit, around 9k worth of damage.

 

Crozet only has 2 open wheeling events a year and you have to know somebody that is a member. Your best bet is to get with a local 4x4 group and see where they organize trips to. It sucks getting stuck out in the woods by yourself.

Please post up if you find any legal places that you don't need to have a membership in to go. I am also in the Charlottesville area, and have been hoping to find similar places.
