new motor in jeep???
how much would it cost to replace the inline 6 motor in a jeep cherokee sport? it a 99 and the motor is shot but everything els on it is in good shape. any suggestions ?

why cant you pull it and get it rebuilt? would probably be easier than trying to track down a straight 6. those motors last a VERY long time. (except for yours obviously)

i could pull it and rebuild but it would probably cost more then just to replace it with a used motor and i didnt blow the motor my friend used it as his daily and it broke while he had it annd his parents told me i could have it if i fixed it so im tryng to fix it then lift it

Use car-part.com to find one at a local junkyard. Last time I looked there were a couple under 100k miles on there. I was going to get one there for mine, but a friend of a friend had one taking up space in his garage, so I got that one for cheap.
