Trade it in for a 4wd. I'm sure that's not what you wanna hear but it's prolly best since you like going off road and nothing loses value faster than a 2wd american made truck, so it'd be smart from a financial standpoint as well.

i second that idea. i mean you will never really be able to wheel a 2wd truck like you want to.

To satisfy your craving a mild lift with some larger rims and tires would do. Add a rear locker and you would be very productive offroad. It all depends how much money you want to spend. I could link you to dozens of nice looking lifted 2wd trucks that are functional offroad.

I have 33s on my 2wd f-150 and It does pretty well. 3 inch body lift with the daystar leveling kit in the front. Its not going to do deep ruts, but its enough for me to take her on the beach in carova and have fun in the fields not having to worry as much.

alot of spots in Virginia can be conquered in 2wd, it's not really the mud and ruts you gotta worry about, it's rocks. And there's not much rock crawlin' out this way. Get one of those Fabtech lifts for 2wd - I hear those are the shit. Just remember, when offroading in 2wd, you gotta power through ruts and mud, you can't pussy it.
