Isuzu Trooper stuff.... Engine mainly
Anyone here an isuzu trooper owner? I have a 1990 with a cracked block, and i was wonderin if it would be worth it to find a new motor for it, or do a swap from another truck.... 4.3L V6 or somthing...
Also, if anyone knows where any cheap 2.6's are... i could really use one.. for less than 500 bucks in running condition...

crazy idea, i know, but try and find the diesel they used in europe and asia. everybody that has ever owned an older trooper has thought of taking it on excursions, diesel gets you one step closer. or not, try looking in the trading post for a new motor though. or you might want to check out www.independent4x.com for all the trooper stuff you ever wanted.

Does anyone do VW TDi swaps into those Troopers ?? That'd be something worth looking into since you can get about 170hp and a SHITLOAD of tq from a newer TDi . I know Isuzu has a bad rep of blowing > either overrev trauma or overheating death . I had an old TII 4cyl and besides the lack of hp , I loved wheeling in it ! 31's cranked torsions and 2" shackles were the biz .
