we (a shop where i used to work) did a 327 conversion into a 4Runner once...

do you go off road in this truck? do you have a bunch of crud in the radiator and such? what thermostat are you using? are you using Red Line Water Wetter in your cooling system? have you considered electric fans? have you considered some sort of hood scoop or louvres?

Get a better radiator, and put in a lower temp thermostat.

be careful with the lower T-stat... make sure its not open ALL the time, then it would totally defeat the purpose, and you coolant may just stay hot, follow?

but still do it, along with the radiator, fans, and water wetter.

also, if you have the ability to cut some louvres (sp?) into the side of the hood, that could help out a lot...

AND.... like Zach said, pics

Do you have a body lift, winch, brush guard, or anything else that might cause poor flow across the radiator? Are you running aftermarket pullies that aren't letting the waterpump flow enough at low rpms? Also when does it run hot...all the time? idling? high rpm/slow speed? etc...

4 core copper radiator with dual electric 4000cfm cooling fans. i had a 4runner with a tbi 305 and it never once overheated. Downey Off-Road sells both!

Much larger radiator, the largest you can stuff in there. Coupled with the largest or several fans capable of massive CFM's. DO NOT run a manual switch for the fan, you WILL at some point forget to turn it on and have a meltdown. Run a thermostatic switch to control the temps, set it and forget it.

With a 350 swap I think you have to have a 3" body lift. With my truck(that i had a 350 in) I had a 4core and eletric fans from napa. You can also get yourself a diesel radiator and mount it in the bed of the truck
