Default Help on headers

I have an 05 silverado 1500 5.3L with stock headers. My left header is cracked between two of the bolts. It seperates one the 4 cylinders in the middle. I took it to chevy and they told me it was normal and that i was fine. I asked a couple friends and shit and they agreed with me in thinking its not right. Anyone have an opinion or the same problem?
