the will probably work . .not sure if ya wanna go that big . . . I'll tell ya later on this week . . my brothers 5.38's came in . . probably gonna get em in tomarrow . . . he's running 38's with a 302 . . . . I have 4.88's in my truck with 44's but then again I have 454 . .but who knows . . probably atleast 4.88's or 5.12's is what I would recommend . .

Just remember the higher you go the smaller the pinion gets. Means more breakage. Even though i have 5.29 haha

If you still plan on going bigger down the road, just get the 5.38's now. I'll be running 5.38's with 40" Ground Hawgs (actually measure out to about 38.8"). I plan on going up to 44's in a year or two though.

5.38 gears, going 65mph in a 4-speed truck should turn about 3k rpms. That's not unstreetable, but I wouldn't daily drive it. 44's drop that down to about 2750rpms.

well probably isn't bad if u have overdrive in the truck . .think the 5.38's gonna be good in my brothers truck cuz he has a eo4d with overdrive . . .my truck 4.88's 1:1 no overdrive turns like 1800- 2000 or so at 65 . . with 44's . .
