I'm from NOVA and I dont know any of ya'll, but by that time I should have some tires and a lift on my Xterra. I'm always down to hit some trails!!

man that looks sweet. I may be headed up there this weekend...i'll let you guys know if i do. We are first going to try an old logging road up toward buena vista called "peavine" that apparently just re-opened.

Plenty of good places near Buena Vista, especially off of the Blue Ridge Parkway. When we were up there 3 weeks ago we kept running into hunters though, so be careful.

I lived in Buena Vista for 3 years, but ironically never got into wheeling until I moved to hampton roads. Have fun up there.

well I think Peavine (which is officially back open I saw on the nati'l forest website) is going to just get us a little dirty....ehhhh.

I really want to try the Shoe creek trail in Lovingston, but I read that a lot of it was privately owned and that trespassing was a big no-no.

I got to experience the unlimited and endless dense trails of the GWNF a couple months ago and we drove for hours and never saw another soul. The trails we went on were either moded Wrangler or Rubicon rated, nothing bigger than a Jeep or Land Rover Defender would have made it. The BEST time to go would be after a snow, where not only would you not be able to see the path but have much more fun climbing it.
