If you are going to a bigger lift what are you going to do with the 4in lift you have and the 33's. Cause if you are getting rid of that I want it. I have a 92 4runner and I believe the front suspension of an 89 is the same as the 90-95's But I atleast want the 33's

what's it doing to make you think you need new axles? that's sort of a rash conclusion. for shits and giggles though, if you are tired of dealing with the woes of ifs shafts do a swap for the solid axle out of the pre 85 pickups. just my two cents though.

Umm first the 89 has leaf springs in the back while the 90 to 95 have coils. So the lift wont work on your runner. Secound I can work on the truck or figure out what your problem is and fix it. I have worked on toyotas for a while, plus i do competition rock crawling with my truck so i kind of know my toyota 4x4s. Let me know and just swing by and ill take a look at it.

I know that the 90-95 have coils on the back and the pre 90's have leafs but I was thinking that the front ifs is still the same and if he was getting rid of his suspension I could use the front and then the rear is easy to get lifted. However he is keeping his lift so thats the end of that. We all know the IFS has only a few inches of suspesion travel even with a lift but now http://www.downeyoff-road.com/Engine...ents/index.htm is offering a system that give you 12-13in of suspension travel if, thats if you didn't wanna do the SAS conversion or if you didn't have the tools to complete the SAS successful aka a tig welder.

Just for reference.. the front is the sameon 86-95 4runners for the most part. I know a guy with a brand new 4" bracket lift that he was trying to sell for $400. I can give you his contact info if you want it.

There are several manufacturers out there that make long travel ifs systems.. unless you do racing you are better off just doing a sas. It's actually cheaper in most cases but if a long travel system is what you desire then I would suggest the total chaos system over the downey.
