Default Any local yamaha raptor guru's?

Looking for someone that knows there way around a raptor to help me troubleshoot an electrical problem on my newly aquired 03 raptor. Anyone?

Started messing with it to try and get it running and it had spark. Checked it maybe 30 mins later, no spark.... I think its the CDI. Not positive.

Bad CDI is the only prob I now of. Did you foul a plug??

Bought a new plug and im going to try that tomorrow. I did the old stick something in the plug cap and see if it shocks the piss out of you, and i got nothing. So im trying to find a cheap stock CDI to see if thats the problem.

does it have the kill switch on the handle Bars ?? I f so Take it off and try to check spark. The Switch usually grounds against the bars to shut the system down . Some times it gets stuck and stays grounded. This happened to my old Cr it drove me crazy I replaced Everything . then sold it..the dude called me the next day and said the kill switch was grounding out. hope this helps

it proilly is the kill switch if you have one. if not id try to get a cdi box. prolly got one laying around if you need it.
