Default Wheel Balancing

Who around here is real good with wheel balancing? Any suggestions, specifically with euro cars, not that it should matter.

go to a place that has the Hunter wheel balancer. Theres a special one out there that applies weight to the tire(puts a load on it) and it actually tells u if you need to break down the tire and move it on the rim to make it even more balanced. Its like the best balancer out there.

most balancers are fine, its the operator. the Hunter DSP unit is nice, but not worth the price (12k fully loaded)

BMW of Fairfax in Merrifield has a new hunter unit....and radial tire in Maryland got one...The machine is pretty sick. But in reality you can do the same job if you have a good floor balancer and know it well. But on the other hand, some manufacturers recommend doing it on the hunter machine.

you can do an ok job. The road force balancer can tell if the "low" spot on the rim and the "high" spot on the tire and you mark the spots, break the beads on the tire and line up the marks. Thats the best way to be vibration free.

I agree with this statement. Its more of people either knowing or not knowing what they are doing.
