Does anyone else think that the DC radio scene is a disgrace to humanity? HFS99.1 used to be decent, but now it's a latino station. DC101 sucks so bad it makes my blood boil. They only play crap that was popular in 1991-1996. They RARELY play any new, good rock. Elliott in the morning is a gay ass morning show.

I listen to 98 rock whenever I can, but reception is shotty in PW county. Even so, 98 rock has waaay too much talk. I don't like rap BTW. I find myself listening to 99.5 just to escape the crappiness of DC rock radio.

 

so elliot sucks, popular rock music from 91-96 sucks, but yet, you listen to 99.5 which plays "my humps" 25x a day..i am lost for words..

 

I don't like elliott, but then again, I don't like any morning talk shows. I wanna hear music on my way to work. I'm dissapointed that DC101 plays the same U2 and Nirvana songs that they have been playing since 1996. It's all good music, but it gets old after so many years. Why can't they play new rock like every other station in the country?

99.5 breaks up the monotony(sp?).

I wish there were some good rock in DC. NC, SC, VA beach, richmond, etc.. have really good rock stations. Why can't we get one here?

You guys are lucky to have DC101 and that Richmond station which I think is 102.X? Once you get south of Richmond all I get to listen to is hick shit about some cowboy who's pickup truck broke down and now his woman is cheating on him.
