VA beach court help.
I'm from Northern VA, this past june i got pulled over on my way to the beach

for my tints and i ended up getting a ticket for no license (it was suspended but

the cop took it as i didnt kno) so he gave me a ticket just for no license not

driving on suspended. so my court date comes up and i couldnt make it

because i just got diagnosed with having a hernia and the doc said to take it

easy at home. i called the court house and they told me to fax them a

written statement, so i did. now i get this letter in the mail saying that im

charged with failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge. and i have to go to

some building in a timely fashion to pick up court documents.



my question is what do i do? i did what they told me to do to ask for a

continuance. and now its like i never did it or something. what will happend

if i go over there. thanks.

My friend got a ticket for driving without a license in Richmond, he didn't go to court because he broke his leg and was in the wheel chair and had pins in his leg the date of his court date. A couple month later he got arrested for misdemeanor failure to appear. They looked him up for 2 days he got out on bail and they was going to sentence him the next day but he brung in all the paper work and they gave him the fine that they where going to give him. So they maybe going to arrest you when you show up, so bring all your paper work and maybe try to get a doctor notes saying you couldn't do any moving around your court date and they should drop the misdemeanor charges. You may what to go there asap before they have a warrent out for your arrest then your going to be in jail for more then a over nighter.

go turn yourself in, most likely the magistrate will release you on PR considering the circumstances. Then take it from there. You may want a lawyer. Also try to get licensed again.

hi, i have my license.. i got it back like the following week.. it was supsended cuz i didnt take a driving class in time.. i took it like 2 days late. so should i still get a lawyer? ive been to court for no license before just got a 50 dollar fine. thanks.
