Turbo 94Coupe or S13/sr20det??
I have the funds for both. Either turbo the coupe or build up a sr20det swap . What will be faster as a street car? what will be faster at the track? Which car has more power potential? What car has better top end? The motor in the coupe will be a gsr or itr motor, so help me make this decsion. thank dragva. Im currently in the work release program for driving on susp here in manassas i work at champ auto parts off euclid ave. ive got the cash for both but i gotta get rid of one or the other i wana keep the nissan cause it looks better but the honda is eaiser to maintain.
I would go with the nissan, depending on how much you want to build it, obviously the b-series will have top end, but as far as hooking up off the line goes, i'd stick with the nissan
do whatever you want, stop asking people what they think is better. they aren't going to be driving it. depending on your funds either one can be fast/have top end/power potential/fast at the track/whatever the hell you want it to be. Why someone would drive a fwd car, I don't know.
S13 w/turbo KA = Win
2.4L>2.0L all day and night.
Unless you want to be JDM mAD TitE Yo WiT yO ShItE.
I'll never understand why anyone would want to pull out a larger motor to put a smaller motor in. Especially when the larger motor can be had for less than $300 including the transmission and makes more power with less work.

there's a ton of reasons.
less miles on the motor (mine had almost 200k and was blown when I pulled it)
already have the turbo and all plumbing, don't have to piece it together
I don't know where you found a running KA and tranny for less than $300, but hook it up!
Definitely not less work. gotta give the turbo oil and/or water lines, get an IC and piping, injectors, tuning, etc...
not saying that it wouldn't be worth it, but there's different reasons for picking different motors.

You blow a KA it will take you a day, $300 for the new engine and trans, and a cherry picker to get it running again. Can you say that about the SR? If you blow the SR or even bust a part where are you going to go to replace it and how much do you think it's going to cost?
Also, you don't have to piece together a kit if you don't want to. There are companies out there that can supply you with a full bolt on kit if that's the way you want to go. The full kit takes you about a day to install including BS'ing and beer breaks and maybe half a day to get it tuned in. With the SR it took us a full weekend to install one, and a few days to actually get the thing running well and tuned. As far as intercoolers go, that's optional since you don't need a lot of boost to make power with the KA unlike the SR. 10psi is usually more than enough with a well tuned KA to beat most people.
my boy 240D on here boosted KA..258rwhp @ 5 psi
....full race and turbo xs both make kits for ka's, so you dont have to piece one together if you dont want to

me I like the sr but then again whenever I get one it will just have only bolt ons. I guess it all depends on what your trying to do with the car. BUt after being RWD I cant go back to a fwd car.
