I have a small TIG welding job that I need done. I have a MIG welder but that won't do. It's aluminum and I have never worked with it before and I don't want to use the aluminum wire conversion on my MIG. It's a very small job, 1/16th sheet about 1" X 2" or so patch on a small aluminum box. I have the materials. Any suggestions as to where I can get this done in the next day or two?

I'd suggest checking out IMA. They're on prosperity behind BMW of Fairfax. (they're the shop with all of the porsche racecars lying around).

 

Do you have any more information on the name IMA? I can't find a number for just "IMA"...

also check with the Porsche shop on Tyco Rd right next to Vertex Motorsports. I just know they have a guy that welds alum. Im just gonna assume its a TIG process.

 

Thanks for all the help. I took my part to IMA yesterday. They did the small welding job while I waited. Nice people, great work, reasonable price. They also have many badd-ass Porches being built.
