stock tint plus 20% = ?
This is a random question.. but maybe someone here might know. I searched everywhere but can't find the answer. If you have a SUV with factory tints in the rear then add a layer of 20% does anyone know what the % comes out to? Thanks =)
i think its around 5%.. my roommate has a pt cruiser with the stock tint, then had 20% added on.. its not worth though, he got pulled over twice a week. He had his car impounded twice cause of the tint.. and this was before cops were being real assholes
the suv's usually have around 25% stock tint so if you add 20% that would give you super illegal tint.
20 % isn't enough ? shit i wish our little cars came with factory 20% in the rear.its no use making it darker if you have to spend $5 on pack of condoms and pay a bunch of money for tint tickets lol
haha, well the reason for it is i hate the way it looks with just the front tinted. the "aftermarket" tint in the front has a bluish shade to it while the rear has like a brownish. I was just curious as to what the actual percent is, if its more or less than 5%.
you could put like a higher % tint ? like 50 or 35 ? that will maybe make it better ? plus it could help you out if you get pulled over ? your excuse to a cop you don't know what % your factory was so you did the legal tint of 35%or 50%, i don't know if he will buy it but when he measures it will it not read 35% or 50% because of the thickness ? or does i work diff ? it will def be darker then factory tho

if you look on the window usually in one of the corners the a bunch of small righting and one of the numbers is what percent the tint is so find that number and subtract what your putting on
