I have a local guy who just bought an S14 front clip, and was asked 1200 dollars to swap the motor into his S14. Seemed kind of high as a price, curious what you guys think. Any places you guys can recommend for something such as this in the Nova area? I think the shop he is currently dealing with is called Auto-Tech.
I don't know as much about the DET powerplant as I would like to think that I do, and/or what all is involved in the conversion.. but IMO, that's not a ridiculous price. Is that shop or someone private? Guarantee their work? Reputable?
Since it's not a Honda, I would think there would be some work involved in swapping a motor or an entire front clip for that matter...

I'm not sure. I have never done a SR20 swap, but I know JGY Customs does a lot. Their prices are in that range...
