Cool The Speed Factor - Good intentions

The Speed Factor -


On the market For a Intercooler I stumbled across a webpage. www.thespeedfactor.com I checked it out and Suprisingly they were located in Reston Va. I Have never heard of them or dealt with them. I decided to give them a chance. Then remembering in my mind i recalled that my Close freind had ordered a Motor from them. but had a very very bad experience.. having to wait nearly Half a year for the the motor and Never reciving the motor but was given a refund. I Guess i can give them one last chance to redeem themselves. There Prices we Incredibly Low. $835.00 for a HKS type s intercooler. So i took down their phone # and gave them a call. Martin the sales director picked up.. we talked about it and i gave him my information and sent him my payment. I was very excited the process of handing them $$ was very smooth. I request that the package be delevered by july 8th. they said will try their hardest. The night went by. The Next day i recived a call from one of Represenatives at the speed factor. Claiming that HKS is Doing inventory and will not be able to ship anything out for the rest of the week. So I was fine with that. This means I wont be reciving my package when I requested it... So I wait about a week and i recive another call from another speed factor employee telling me that HKS has raised prices on thier intercooler kits... I demanded that i be given the price I was quoted for, They pretty much declined my demand. So i was given no other option but too get my $$ returned...So its july 7th and I have no intercooler... Looks like i won't be drifting at Hyperfest this weekend.. thanks alot too The speed factor... for making me miss Hyper fest the 2nd year in a row.. there is always next year for us.. Maybe you guys will improve your buisness next year when hyperfest comes around agian.. but for now... your buisness sucks.. you recive the worst buying experience from me.. D+ for the effort and making me feel comfortable handing my $$ too you guys. Much work needs to be done too your sales department.

For everyone else.. Beware of the speed factor....they might offer low and awesome prices.. but they don't care about the customer... they care about themselves and $$....

Now i am left without a intercooler... looks like me and my $$ are going elsewhere.

EDIT: They have agreed too giving me the quoted price.. we will see what happens in 1 week. So this means they are taking care of this problem.

So it is now July 9th (my bday ) and i have recived news that my Intercooler was shipped out the other day... I have recived the tracking ## and the Intercooler is being shipped to Nova. The package should arrive within a week...

Too sum up my Experience with the Speed factor..

The Speed factor is a Mint Buisness with lots to learn... They are doing very well on Learning the trades of buisness and there customer Support is very superb. Dispite my Complications I have had in the past with the speed factor I still look forward to doing buisness with them. They still have a few kinks too work out. But from my point of view.. The speed factor has Matured over the past few years..

i'd rate this experience with a 7.5

Agreed. They mean well but a lot needs to be fixed, and that's all I will say.

doesnt anyone else in the area carrry intercoolers? or are you just looking for the HKS? maybe you could order one online and get 2 day shipping? i dont know anything so dont mind me...

well that wasn't very nice Wood. I did fuck up and give you an Intercooler that everyone else is selling for $930+ shipping for $860 shipped, so in that sense, yes I suck because I fucked myself on profit margin. HKS was closed until today for the Holiday which is why your unit has not shipped yet.

On another note we did screw up Joey's motor order, or rather our supplier did, but I spoke with joey on a weekly basis telling him what was going on, and that I understand he needed the motor quickly so at anytime I would refund him. I was also giving him a complete SR for $1700shipped.

None-the-less we are a young company going threw growing pains, and yes we do occasionally have problems, but it is very VERY unfair of you to say that we dont care about our customers.

If this is Martin, I hope the best for your Company and things will pick up and flow smooth. You helped me out with that UDP for my old Eclipse a year ago, got it to me in like 2 days, very helpful.

hey wood, i know things got a little out of hand and that our mistake but we did take care of this and we are honoring that price. We are sorry for the inconvenience and assure you such a situation will nto happen again. Their were alot of circumstances on that motor sale that no one seems to mention but its all in the past. As far as the rest of the people stating things about us, how many of you have ever done business with us. We encourage anyone considering business with us to look us on on other boards such as the DSM boards where we have many many positive reviews. We do have our down falls as we still are a newer company but we can admit when we have made a mistake and work the best we can to resolve all these issues.

Red944turbo, please speak on your own experience, i know you are talkin about Thao and he is happy with us as we have always gone above and beyond to help him. And what you had said about Jalil bashin us was proven untrue by Jalil as he was happy with his dealings with us, alot of people dont know the circumstances to his deal where we went above and beyond for him to be able to purchase his clip and i assure you he was QUITE happy with his purchase and continues to purchase from us. i invite anyone to ask him. I just dont feel its fair for you to bad mouth us when you havent dealt with us personally.

Folks all places have their mishapps and we work hard at gettin them rectified the best we can. We dont feel it fair to say we dont care about our customers, we have alot of sales nationwide and many of our customers would disagree.

Simply put we did take care of this issue wood and you will be receiving your IC shortly. Oh and anyone feel free to contact HKS and verify they were closed for inventory and then the holiday. it really sucked for us. If you havent dealt with us personally we would appreciatte if you do not post reviews on us.
