sniper hood
yea my bros car cant pass safty because its too high. the thing is when i looked into the book the in spector had, i turned to the hood section, and it didnt say anything about hood cowls. it just says that it has to be secured. and the latching system has to be good. that the only thing that failed my brothers car. any opinions on this? heres the car, the rest of the car passes because we took the body kit off. it just that we dont have the stock hood anymore. we have both wipers on it, its in the stock ride height and the stock headlights are on there. sorry if i dont have the picture of the car right now but this pic was taken a month ago. but the cars is pretty much stock. except for the hood. the other thing is there was another guy at the inspedtion shop with me and he was like, "you dont even need a hood, just like jeeps dont need door" and it made me curious.
LOCKED before hell breaks loose again in here!!! As for the hood, it failed inspection because the cowl is raised up too high. It is part of VA inspection law if I remember right. Something about 1 and 3/4 inch or something to that effect. A couple of places failed stock STis for that reason. Judging from the photo though, from a reasonable standpoint, that hood is blocking too much of the windshield, so I can honestly understand why it failed. Sell that hood to somebody in Maryland where they don't do yearly inspections and get yourself a less aggressive hood.
