I am not trying to flame, I ask this question a lot because I really do not understand.

Why did this watch cost $4000? I don't see any jewelry on it or anything, and I am sure it doesn't tell time any better than a Seiko. I have heard the precision maker theory that it does not lose time like other watches, but for $3950 less, I can deal with adjusting the date every 6 months or so. So why did you personally buy this watch?
