Reston Mechanics
I recently wrecked my car, nothing too serious. It looks like a control arm was knocked off the wheel. I'm unsure about the extent of the damage; if the breaks are damaged, if the axle is damaged at all. Regardless, I need to get it fixed. I got the car (2001 Audi A4 Turbo, front wheel drive) towed to my office here in Reston and I need to find a decently priced honest mechanic to take it to. Does anyone have a good recommendation?
sell it and buy quattro or...

I know very little about cars so I really wouldn't know how to tell what needs fixing and what doesn't. The control arm was easy to recognize because it was there on one side, and on the other it was ripped off. But apart from that, it's all greek.
As for the reference, the Volkswagen dealer, aren't dealers higher priced than a general mechanic?

trust me, i just gave you the best advice you'll ever hear while you own your audi. go on audizine and post in the correct section, people will chime in and help you out. and when you post there, spell brakes correctly.
Gah, I was thinking 'brakes' but it came out wrong. :/
Alrighty I think I may have found a shop on audizine already. Ty kindly!
As for the fwd being crap, it's better than having rear wheel drive! My car is just a thing to get from point A to point B, it just happens to be able to do so faster than most stock cars, so I'm not too worried about selling it or upgrading. It runs! Sort of, and that's all that matters.
