Default Question on going to the track??

Im trying to goto Old Domion on my bday(18). My dad says that I cant race becuase GIECO wont cover crashing at a race, even though I have full coveraeg. Is this true? And I heard of being able to buy like tempoaray one day racing insuance. Anyone know anything?

Just go to the track and race..

If you/your dad is that paranoid about wrecking, you shouldnt be racing..

And yes, you dad is correct and I have never heard of "Race" insurance.. If they some how manage to "catch" you racing at a track with photos, has some of the members on here and TWR know, they can/will stop covering you..

lol...

its like this. you wreck at the track then your insurance company wont cover you. no questions asked. the odds of wrecking at the track are slim to none but there is a chance. I wouldnt worry about it. I mean if you race on the street same thing can happen. IF you get caught racing or get in a accident wile racing your insurance company will NOT pay for anything. And if you get caught racing on the street and get in a wreck then your insurance wont just NOT cover it but will drop you and you will get a nice wreckless racing ticket along with loosing your licence. ITS ALOT SAFER and BETTER to race at the track and NOT on the street.

either way since ive been racing at old domion (ODS) in the last 3 years I have seen 1 car wreck and that was a 6.0 8th mile car ( 9 sec qr mile ) same class im in. So you will be fine. tell your dad to clean the sand out of his vag and show him that racing on the track is SAFE compared to racing on the street.

Haaa you guys are funny. I realize the odds are slim as hell. Ive been there to watch twice and never saw a car crash or come close to it. One bike did crash, but thats it. IDK i will have to wait and see. Im trying to go July the 6th. I tried to convice him but he is still like I pay your insuance blah blah blah....

--and my dad dosnt think im a bad driver or anythin. So far ive been driving like 1.7 yrs and only 1 tickett. And that tickett was for having clear corners. wtf??? but yea im a stright driver.

Yea, Geico actually has teams that go out to the local tracks, get the license and vin numbers off the cars racing, and then goes back and drops whoever is covered by Geico.

Change insurance companies. Me, I go with AAA Insurance, and while their coverage is no different then others (as in they dont do racing insurance, and will not coverage racetrack wrecks), AAA doesn't drop whoever decides to go to the track for a little fun.
