Only 93+ for my car, if I can't get prem. for what ever reason I'm suppose to hit this button on my console which retards my timing. Then I'm suppose to run 2 tanks of prem. before I can put it back. So forget that crap it will only get 93+.
What does Xylene do? and does it really work? I've heard of doing it, just was kind of worried about dumpin crap in my tank not knowin if it really works or if it would mess up my engine.

xylene is a close relative of tolouene which is an ingredient in gas (the toluoene content is part of what they change to adjust octane). so you aren't adding anything foreign to your gas, just more of what's already there. it is 117 octane, BUT you ca't run too high a content or your motor won't be able to combust it because it takes a lot more energy to burn than plain gasoline
