There are none locally. Even if there were they would be government property, making trespassing more serious.

You're not going to find anything really interesting either. Most closed strips are just that. Strips of broken tarmac that are hardly suitable for emergency landings much less Race WarZ

theres an open air strip down south some where. people posted pics from it awhile back.

 

I know there is a small airport right off of I-81 near mile marker 180
But you can see it from the road and maybe they would let you take pictures there. Google map that area for sure. Haven't been down I-81 in awhile.

 

I wanna go there to run Rc Cars.

Im a licensed pilot too, and technically in an emergency, ANYWHERE that is deemed safe to land is a good spot. EVERYBODY knows the ABC's during an emergency landing; Airspeed, BEST PLACE 2 LAND, CHECKLIST. Roads, fields, ect. so pick up a FAR AIM and read it some more. granted it had to be shut down for some reason, so i would just drive carefully b4 making any decisions on what i would do.


yeah it illegal but so is modding your car so leave it alone. if he wants a runway strip to do whatever thats fine by me. better than making pulls on the street. or even photoshoots, hobbies, ect.
